Bio: Hello, my name is Devan Bolden and welcome to "SneakerFreaks!" I am currently a Sophomore at the University of South Florida and am majoring in marketing with a minor in advertising. As a student in mass communications, my future plans are to work on Nike's corporate advertising team. My blog "SneakerFreaks" will consist of highly anticipated sneaker release dates, sneaker information, sneakers in fashion and overall sneaker news within the sneaker community. My main goal with this blog is to keep people updated with news and release information within the sneaker community. With this blog I hope to appeal to everyone from the sneaker collecting veteran to the person who just simply wants information about purchasing their very first pair of sneakers. Ever since I was a young child, sneakers always seemed to grab my attention. When I was growing up I wasn't as financially stable as I am today; in fact, as a child the majority of my personal sneakers were hand-me-downs from older cousins and uncles. I dreamed about being rich one day and buying all the shoes I would see on television and in movies. With my first job I learned how to save and budget my money to the point where I could own the very same shoes I would fantasize about wearing as a kid. The more shoes I purchased, the more shoes I seemed to want. I found myself scouring the Internet for new shoe release dates almost every second of everyday. With all this searching for sneaker purchasing opportunities over the years, I have gained a knowledge and somewhat talent for identifying and conversing about sneakers. My collection has amassed over 30 sneakers now, ranging anywhere from Jordan to Reebok. Most people tell me I have more than enough sneakers, but I don't plan to stop collecting them anytime soon! I guess you could just say I'm a "SneakerFreak."
